I fear friend will go back to self-harming after upsetting break-up
DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER going through an awful break up, my friend is falling apart.
We are both 21 and have been friends since school.
She has a history of self harm and I fear she might hurt herself again.
I’d seen an improvement in her since she met this guy, but since they broke up three months ago, things have gone downhill again.
She’s withdrawn and flakes when we make plans.
Should I warn her parents?
