Another Interesting Leak: A Second NASA Scientist Tells Us That ‘Somebody Else’ Is On The Moon

We live in a strange world, and as Neil Armstrong once said, there are "great ideas undiscovered, breakthroughs available to those who can remove one of the truth’s protective layers."

NASA Scientists & What They Say About The Moon

Multiple NASA personnel have made some pretty shocking claims about the Moon. George Leonard, a NASA scientist and photo analyst who obtained various official NASA photographs of the Moon, many of which he published in his book titled Somebody Else Is On The Moon, is just one of these personnel.

Although the photos are small in size and their resolution is not up to today’s standards, they show details of original prints which were huge. Leonard published the identifying code numbers of the photos in his works to back up their source...

Only a few people manage to live longer than 100 years, and Bernard LaPallo, lived a happy, fulfilling, and healthy life well into his second century. This man was born in 1901 in Victoria, Brazil, and as a little boy, he migrated to the United States.

In the 1920s, he started out as a 5-star chef, then ran a successful massage practice for 20 years after obtaining his license at the age of 71, and later in life, he became an author and lecturer.

At the age of 73, he graduated from New York University for reflexology and podiatry and delved into the study of herbology with Dr. Richard Schulze of the American Botanical Pharmacy.

When he was recognized as the oldest living Yankee, he became popular and used his fame to inspire thousands of other people. During his entire life, he was dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and healthy everyday routines.

For the first time, astronomers have discovered evidence for a giant planet orbiting a tiny, dead white dwarf star. And, surprisingly, the Neptune-sized planet is more than four times the diameter of the Earth-sized star it orbits.

"This star has a planet that we can’t see directly," study author Boris Gänsicke from the University of Warwick said in a press release. "But because the star is so hot, it is evaporating the planet, and we detect the atmosphere it is losing." In fact, the searing star is sending a stream of vaporized material away from the planet at a rate of some 260 million tons per day.

The new discovery is the first proof that a massive planet can survive a star’s transition into a white dwarf. It implies that evaporating planets orbiting dead stars are fairly common in the universe. The discovery could also shed light on the fate of our solar system, as our Sun, like most stars, will eventually evolve into a white dwarf.

An unexpected pairing

The white dwarf in question, dubbed WDJ0914+1914, is located in the constellation Cancer, about 1,500 light-years away. Although the white dwarf is no longer undergoing nuclear fusion like a normal star, its lingering heat means it’s still a blistering 49,500 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s some five times hotter than the Sun.

After sifting through about 7,000 white dwarfs identified by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, researchers discovered the smoldering stellar core. When the team looked at the unique spectra of WDJ0914+1914, they discovered hydrogen chemical fingerprints, which is somewhat unusual. But they also picked out signs of oxygen and sulfur — elements they had never seen in a white dwarf before.

"It was one of those chance discoveries," Gänsicke said in a European Southern Observatory (ESO) press release. "We knew that there had to be something exceptional going on in this system, and [we] speculated that it may be related to some type of planetary remnant."

So, in order to get a better understanding of what was going on in the strange system, the team used the ESO’s Very Large Telescope in Chile’s X-shooter instrument to conduct follow-up observations. Based on a deeper investigation, the researchers discovered that the unusual elements they thought were embedded in the white dwarf were actually coming from a disk of gas churning around the dead star.

An asteroid the size of a truck is set to pass close to Earth on Thursday, one of the closest encounters ever recorded, according to NASA. The asteroid, named 2023 BU and recently discovered by an amateur astronomer, is scheduled to fly by the southern tip of South America at around 4:27 pm PST on Thursday (0027 GMT Friday).

NASA also said that it will pass just 2,200 miles (3,600 kilometers) from Earth’s surface, closer than many geostationary satellites orbiting the planet. However, there is no risk of the asteroid hitting Earth, NASA said in a statement. Even if it did, the asteroid, measuring between 3.5-8.5 meters (11-28 feet) in diameter, would largely disintegrate in the Earth’s atmosphere and might only result in a few small meteorites.

The asteroid was first spotted on Saturday from an observatory in Crimea by amateur astronomer Gennadiy Borisov, who also discovered an interstellar comet in 2019. Observatories around the world conducted dozens of observations after the asteroid was discovered. NASA’s Scout impact hazard assessment system quickly determined that the asteroid would miss Earth.

Despite the limited observations, it was able to predict that the asteroid would make an exceptionally close approach with Earth, said Davide Farnocchia, who helped develop Scout. This is one of the closest encounters by a known near-Earth object ever recorded. The asteroid’s trajectory around the Sun will be significantly altered as a result of the close encounter. Previously, it took the asteroid 359 days to orbit the Sun, but now it will take 425 days, NASA said.

Exploration of galaxies at much greater distances from Earth may now be possible.

How do stars form in distant galaxies? Astronomers have been trying to answer this question for a long time by detecting radio signals emitted by nearby galaxies. These signals, however, become weaker the further a galaxy is from Earth, making them difficult to detect with today’s radio telescopes.

Researchers from Montreal and India have now captured a radio signal from the most distant galaxy so far at a specific wavelength known as the 21 cm line, allowing astronomers to peer into the early universe’s secrets. This is the first time a radio signal of this type has been detected at such a large distance using India’s Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope.

"A galaxy emits different kinds of radio signals. Until now, it’s only been possible to capture this particular signal from a galaxy nearby, limiting our knowledge to those galaxies closer to Earth," says Arnab Chakraborty, a Post-Doctoral Researcher at McGill University under the supervision of Professor Matt Dobbs.

A look back in time to the early universe

For the first time, the researchers were able to detect and measure the signal from SDSSJ0826+5630, a distant star-forming galaxy. The atomic mass of the gas content of this particular galaxy, according to the researchers, is nearly twice the mass of the visible stars.

The team’s detected signal was emitted from this galaxy when the universe was only 4.9 billion years old, allowing the researchers to peer into the early universe’s secrets. "It’s the equivalent of 8.8 billion years in time," says Chakraborty, a cosmologist at McGill’s Department of Physics.

Picking up the signal from a distant galaxy

According to the researchers, these observations demonstrate the feasibility of using gravitational lensing to observe distant galaxies in similar situations. It also opens up exciting new possibilities for studying the cosmic evolution of stars and galaxies using existing low-frequency radio telescopes.

The James Webb Space Telescope has discovered its first new exoplanet, LHS 475 b, an Earth-sized rocky planet. The planet, which is only 41 light-years away, orbits very close to a small, dim star, completing a full orbit in just two days.

The discovery, announced at the American Astronomical Society (AAS) meeting on Wednesday, January 11th, is notable because most exoplanets discovered are large gas giants similar to Jupiter. Most telescopes struggle to detect Earth-like planets because they are much smaller, at less than a tenth of the diameter.
