According to the TV channel, residents of the Amouroux housing estate in Toulouse have to give up hot showers, because the prices of “communal services” have tripled.
“I teach my children to take cool and very short showers. I wash my face with cold water. We are getting ready for the summer, when there will be cold showers”, Sophie Pasquel, one of the residents of the complex, told journalists.
According to the Frenchwoman, saving hot water is the only way to cut costs.
“My bill went from 140 to 400 euros a month. With a salary of 1,100 euros, I just can’t afford to pay it,” she complained.
