The state government in Ranchi ordered a probe into the fire incident at a Dhanbad hospital where five persons perished. The state health minister, Banna Gupta, ordered the probe and directed the Dhanbad deputy commissioner, Sandeep Singh, for a detailed probe into the fire tragedy at the RC Hazra Memorial Hospital which killed five persons including a doctor couple early on Saturday morning in the coal town. Chief Minister Hemant Soren tweeted condoling the death in the tragedy and wrote, "deeply troubled by the death of Dr. Vikas Hazra and Dr. Prema Hazra among others, may God give strength to the bereaved family to bear the tragic loss." He wrote after the news of the fire broke out in the morning. Health Minister Gupta issued a statement offering condolences to the deceased and announced the ordering of the probe. He said, "I have directed the Dhanbad deputy commissioner to get the incident probed thoroughly and submit a report about the entire incident such incidents are unfortunate and my prayers are with the departed souls." However, he hasn't specified the timeline for submitting the inquiry report.
