The Mangaluru City Police Commissioner said that the Acp South Subdivision Dinakar Shetty will investigate the corruption charges against the Ullal Police Station Inspector and Subinspector Activist Mohammed Kabeer. Kabeer filed a complaint against the officials with the Lokayukta last year. Kabeer alleged that the Ullal Inspector and Subinspector were engaged in corruption and had amassed wealth. A petition in this regard was submitted to the Chief Secretary, DGP, ACB, ADGP, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, and the Police Commissioner, but when no action was taken against them, Kabeer approached the Lokayukta. The complainant also alleged that he was issued threats. The Lokayukta has asked the Police Commissioner to submit details after verification by February 14. Shashi Kumar said, "I have been asked to examine the petition and submit a report like in any other petition. I have sought an inquiry report by the Acp South and it will be submitted." on an allegation of a complaint against the police commissioner himself, he said, "These are petitions of a serious nature.
