Vernon Kay reveals the secret behind Strictly star wife Tess Daly’s age-defying figure
VERNON Kay has admitted the secret that keeps his wife Tess Daly looking so radiant and maintains her age-defying figure.
TV presenter Vernon shared the details on his wife in a new chat on podcast Dish.
The star Vernon admitted that it all comes down to Tess’ appetite and her ability to turn down food, something he says he is less successful at.
He revealed that the glam Strictly host will stop eating when she is full up and not force herself to continue eating if she has food left on her plate.
Chatting to the show’s hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, Vernon admitted: “What she does is, which, which I could never do. I like feeling full. But Tess will go, ‘I’ve had enough, I’m done’, you know what I mean?
“And I’m like, ‘I respect that and I really admire that’, because I’m like, I’ve got half a steak, seven chips and a cup full of peas left. I’m carrying on.
“You know what I mean? And then you walk out like, ugh. Dribbling on the way home in your Uber because you’ve eaten so much, you’re in a carb coma.”
Vernon is always full of praise for his wife and revealed that she spent hours and hours practising her lines for Strictly Come Dancing last year.
He said: “Tess is the best person I have ever worked with.
“She’s unbelievable.
“I don’t think people realise the hard work she puts in.
“She learns her script, she learns Claudia’s script, she learns the camera’s script, because it’s the flagship show for the BBC.”
