DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I told my best friend how much I liked a particular woman, I did not expect him to sleep with her.
We’ve been friends for five years. He’s 25 and I’m 26.
I’ve never been too lucky in love, so when he suggested going on a double date with a woman he was dating, and her friend, I was happy.
As soon as I met the friend, I was smitten. The conversation flowed and she was exactly my type.
I couldn’t help but gush to my friend about her later.
But then one evening when I went round to his flat, I spotted her rucksack in the kitchen.
When I first confronted him he tried to lie, but he eventually admitted to it.
I feel so hurt and can’t understand why he would do this to me.
