Their tragic ends followed Shirley and Tina’s parents Stan and Sylvie Carter who also died on the BBC soap.
Viewers are convinced the family was cursed when they kicked out Aunt Babe from Walford five years ago.
Babe Smith, portrayed by Annette Badland, was introduced as the maternal aunt of established characters Shirley and Tina Carter.
Babe was the only person who knew Shirley was pregnant with Mick and attempted to sell her baby.
The family soon learned Babe sold babies to families from her caravan.
Babe often caused a rift between Shirley and Mick.
Her antics continued as she tried to sabotage Kathy’s business by poisoning her coffee machine, disgusting the Carter family.
Babe created a scheme to illegally serve alcohol with breakfast and unwittingly serves beer to a police detective who is working undercover.
Babe, Mick and Shirley are arrested for breaching the licence laws, but Babe lies to the police that it was Mick’s plan that she was following.
When Shirley finds Babe stealing from The Queen Vic, she physically throws her out.
Babe pleaded with Mick to let her stay, but he rejected her so she insulted Linda.
Mick ejected Babe from The Queen Vic and she cursed the family, hoping they lose everything.
Babe’s last words were: “I curse you! I curse the lot of ya. I hope you lose everything, and your precious pub. I curse you!”
