Incredible Pedigree – Frank Lampard Tips Hat To Wolves Boss

 

Everton, who are 17th in the Premier League table, will resume their campaign against Wolves today at Goodison Park.

 

And Wolves’ new boss Lopetegui will take charge of the Midlands club for the first time today, with the difficult task of getting the club out of the relegation zone on his hands.

 

 

Lampard is of the view that Wolves have a squad full of high-quality players and stressed that in Lopetegui they have a manager of incredible pedigree.

 

The Everton boss also admitted that the game being Lopetegui’s first time out in the dugout as Wolves manager makes it more difficult for his side, and Lampard believes that his players need to be at the top of their game.

 

 

Lampard added that Everton have shown what they are capable of and stressed that task now is to find consistency in their performances.

 

“Wolves are a high-quality team and Julen is a manager with incredible pedigree, having won domestic and European titles during his career as a player and manager”, Lampard wrote in Everton’s matchday programme.

 

 

“With this being his first game in the Premier League, it makes them slightly more difficult to analyse but they clearly have talent throughout their squad and we must be ready in terms of our fight and our quality of play.

 

“We’ve shown what we’re capable of in moments and individual games this season but we must be more consistent, for sure.”

 

The last time both sides met at Goodison Park, Wolves edged Everton with a 1-0 victory due to a goal from Conor Coady, who will be in the Toffees corner today.
