Magic’s Wendell Carter Jr., Gary Harris available vs. Spurs
The Orlando Magic, who’ve been on a hot streak, will get two integral parts of the team back for tonight’s home game vs. the San Antonio Spurs.
Wendell Carter Jr. (strained right plantar fascia — the soft tissue under the foot) and Gary Harris (strained right hamstring) will be available after being sidelined, coach Jamahl Mosley said after the morning shootaround.
Both will be on a minutes restriction.
“Part of it is I’m going to talk to them to see how they’re feeling throughout the game,” Mosley said. “Them being out so long, you don’t want to rush it. I don’t really have an exact timeframe of what that looks like right now.”
Carter’s sat 17 consecutive games since Nov. 19, and 18 of the last 19.
Harris has missed the last 11 games.
“He provides that veteran leader,” Mosley said of Harris. “The ability to come into the game and just settle everything down. His ability to knock down shots and the defensive force he provides night in and night out.”
With Carter and Harris back, tonight will be the first game the Magic didn’t have at least four players sidelined this season.
Three players remain out: Jonathan Isaac, Chuma Okeke and Jalen Suggs.
