This Morning’s Josie Gibson delivers ‘sad’ announcement about her TV co-host
THIS Morning host Josie Gibson has delivered a “sad” announcement about her TV co-host.
The star has been filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield this week alongside co-presenter Craig Doyle.
Josie, 37, gave a “sad” update about Craig, 52, just minutes into the show on Thursday ahead of the jam packed episode.
The presenter revealed that she was waving goodbye to her co-star, as she would present without him on Friday.
She told the cameras that despite the pair covering for Holly, 41, and Phil, 60, before Christmas, Craig would be off early.
“We have only three days until Christmas but it is a very sad day… it is really sad…” she told viewers at home.
“”It is Craig’s last day. He is going home, all the way to Ireland, never to be seen again.”
Craig then added: “If anybody is on the M4 at about 12.30pm, get off the road because I am heading to the airport!”
Josie then confirmed that she would be joined by Andi Peters instead for the pre-Christmas episode on Friday.
It comes after Josie was seen looking slimmer than ever as she posed on the show’s famous set.
The ITV hit has had a Christmas makeover and the former Big Brother star slotted right into the theme.
She posed in a shimmering green jumpsuit in the snap.
Josie wrote: “Felt very Christmasy in this little number!
3 more days to go… are you all ready for Christmas yet?”
The star’s This Morning pal Carol Vorderman was among the first to comment, writing: “Stunner.”
Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley added along heart-eyed emojis: “Babe you look absolutely stunning.”
Josie, who usually acts as This Morning‘s roving reporter, has been filling in as a main host in the run-up to Christmas.
She has been presenting alongside Craig Doyle while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield take time off for the Christmas holidays.
Josie recently opened up about loving her figure more than ever having slimmed from a size 20 to size 14.
She told The Sun: “I always try and look after my skin and use a really good skin care. I always live life to the max, I love to take full advantage of everything in life.
“I wish there was a new diet, I keep telling myself I’m going to do it, but I never get onto it.
“I think after I had Reggie, my little one is four-years-old now, I was instantly more body confident because your body has done something so spectacular, you can’t do anything but love it.
“It’s made a lovely little boy for me, and you can’t help but love it after because it’s so brilliant that my body was able to do that.
“After I had Reg I was always more body confident anyway whatever size.”
