DMYC Christmas Cracker – Tuesday 27th December
the Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club intends to run the Christmas Cracker on December 27th building on the success of this unique event, first held on the same date last year, with the kind permission of the Harbour Master.
With the recent demolition of the Ice House, the plan is to place the marks as far inshore as possible to maximise the spectator value, all made possible without the obstruction of the moored yachts during the summer months.
This is a “Open” event, to all comers and we welcome dinghy sailors from all clubs to participate, subject to the normal insurance requirements. Hopefully championship winning Eve McMahon will return to defend her win in the event last year, and give the local Aero fleet who currently dominate the Frostbite PY fleet, some real competition.
