[Men's Wrestling] Knights Take on Brewton-Parker Barons and Coker Cobras in Home Tri-Match
The St. Andrews men's wrestling program hosted a tri-match which included the Brewton-Parker Barons from the Souther States Athletic Conference and the Coker Cobras from the Carolina Conference as part of the NCAA Division II.
Although the Knights ended up falling in both competitions, there were some incredible individual moments throughout the match, and some great early season reps before the squad gets rolling in 2023.
Headlining the results for the Knights was Dakota Johnson who won the Knights first match of the day, via a 7-2 over his opponent Kullum Irvin from Brewton-Parker. In the same match, Tyler Godfrey was able to come close to a major decision against Dominic Martinez from Brewton-Parker by a 13-6 decision. Logan Sage closed out the contest by defeating his opponent from Brewton-Parker by a 3-0 decision.
In the Coker matchup, Franklin Rivero was able to secure the lone non-forfeit victory in the contest as he was able to win by a 5-1 decision against Devin Holland from the Coker Cobras.
