My wife is more interested in social media than our sex life
DEAR DEIDRE: SEX is off the menu with my partner because she’s always glued to her phone in bed.
If I make it clear I’m in the mood, she says she’s too tired, then rolls over and looks at social media under the covers. It’s getting me down.
We’ve been together for four years and have a son, who is 15 months old. I’m 30 and she’s 28.
Our sex life was great for the first couple of years but then it slowed down very quickly.
She’s never in the mood. But my sex drive is as high as it ever was, so I feel permanently frustrated.
I’d never force her. However, I’ve realised that if I wait until she initiates sex, I’ll be waiting for ever.
And it hurts that she’d rather cuddle up to her phone than me.
I miss the intimacy we once shared.

DEIDRE SAYS: Looking after a young child is exhausting and can have a detrimental effect on a woman’s libido.
You need to tell her you miss the closeness you once shared.
Ask if anything is bothering her.
Perhaps you could offer to help more with your son, so she can relax.
Ask if she’ll put her phone aside in bed sometimes.
