Taylor Swift to Make Feature Directorial Debut with Searchlight Pictures
Taylor Swift is officially getting into the movie business!
On Friday (December 9), it was announced that the 32-year-old entertainer will be making her feature directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures.

“Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller,” Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield shared in a statement with Variety. “It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
Taylor has already written an original script, which will be produced by the Oscar-winning studio behind movies including Nomadland and The Shape of Water.
Plot and casting details will be announced at a later date.
Over the years, Taylor has been getting behind the camera more and more, directing music videos for several of her songs.
Late last year, Taylor wrote and directed her All Too Well: The Short Film, which may earn Taylor her first Oscar nomination for Best Short Film at the upcoming 2023 Academy Awards.
