Kanye West Loses Honorary College Degree From Art Institute of Chicago
Kanye West is losing yet another relationship.
The 45-year-old rapper, who has already lost many business deals, friends and partnerships over the past few weeks for his anti-Black and antisemitic rants and conspiracy theories, is now losing his college degree.
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago has taken away their honorary degree that they bestowed on him years ago, according to a new report.

According to a school letter, school leaders decided to rescind Ye‘s degree, stating: “His anti-Black, antisemitic, and incendiary statements, particularly those directed at Black and Jewish communities, are disgusting and condemnable,” via TMZ.
The letter was written by President Elissa Tenny.
“As a community, we know that there are varying opinions on what our School’s response should be––even as we all agree that his behavior is indefensible,” he wrote.
Ye was awarded an honorary doctorate back in 2015 for his accomplishments and contributions to art and culture, but “his actions do not align with SAIC’s mission and values.”
Students at the school also reportedly started an online position to take away the honorary degree, garnering over 4,000 signatures.
