ADAC Confirms Plans For New Structure For GT Racing In Germany
New DTM brand owners ADAC have moved quickly to fill some of the gaps in planning for the shape of GT racing in Germany for 2023 including some significant changes in calendar, technical partners and race packaging.
ADAC have confirmed an eight race weekend calendar for DTM whose format with single driver sprint races will remain unchanged.
There will though be significant changes on BOP – with previous ADAC GT Masters partner SRO taking over from DTM supplier AVL.
Michelin tyres will no longer provide the DTM with their rubber with Pirelli stepping in.

ADAC GT Masters is set to see a dramatic change with the previously solely-GT3 based Championship rebranded as DTM Endurance, the GT3s joined on the grid by LMP3 machinery from the new for 2022 Prototype Cup Germany, ADAC still in negotiation with the ACO on the fine details of licensing the package.
DTM Endurance is set to join the DTM package for 6-7 events in 2023.
Also confirmed as staying are ADAC GT4 Germany, the BMW M2 Racing Cup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany , DTM Trophy (single driver GT4 formula) appears to be cancelled
. As part of the DTM, the GT3 vehicles from the ADAC GT Masters will line up under this umbrella at six to seven events together with the sports cars from the Prototype Cup Germany. The ADAC is currently in good talks with the ACO to coordinate the details. In addition to the new DTM Endurance, the ADAC GT4 Germany, the BMW M2 Racing Cup and the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany are also an integral part of the DTM programme.
In a further point of differentiation, Platinum-rated drivers will not be allowed in GT Masters.
