U.S. defense budget provides for measures to exclude Russia from the G20

The United States of America will seek to ensure that Russia disappears from some international institutions, including from the G20. This is indicated in the US defense budget, which is agreed upon by both houses of Congress.

The G20 is the leading forum for international cooperation on the most important issues in the international financial economy. The Washington document says that they intend to exclude Russian government employees from the G20.

“We will exclude Russian government employees from the G20, as well as from the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the Financial Stability Board, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. And we will do everything to promote this decision,” the document says.
