Rashee Rice will lead the SMU Mustangs (6-4) into their battle against the Tulane Green Wave (8-2) at Yulman Stadium on Thursday at 7:30 PM ET.
In their last game, the Green Wave lost 38-31 to the UCF Knights. The Mustangs’ last outing finished in a 41-23 win over the South Florida Bulls. Michael Pratt threw for 236 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions on 23-of-39 passing (59.0%) for the Wave in that matchup against the Knights. He also added six carries for -4 yards and one rushing touchdown. Tyjae Spears carried the ball eight times for 130 yards (16.3 yards per carry). He also had one reception for nine yards. Jha’Quan Jackson had 95 yards on five catches (19.0 per reception) in that game. Tanner Mordecai’s performance for the Mustangs against the Bulls included 19-of-27 passing for 280 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Tyler Lavine put together a 17-carry, 112-yard game (6.6 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. Jordan Kerley caught seven passes for 156 yards (22.3 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown.
