THE new Princess of Wales wore a black wide-brimmed hat yesterday — similar to one Diana sported at the Remembrance Day service in 1991.
Kate was also wearing her late mother-in-law’s diamond pearl-drop earrings.
Kate watched the moving service at the Cenotaph from a balcony with Queen Consort Camilla.
The pair both appeared emotional, with the Queen Consort appearing to wipe away a tear at one stage.
Stoic Kate cut a sombre figure while wearing Diana’s pearl drop earrings.
The day will be especially poignant for the Royal Family as the late Queen considered Remembrance Sunday one of the most important engagements in the royal calendar.

Sombre King Charles today led the nation in falling silent at a Remembrance Sunday service for the first time as monarch.
The Royal lay a poppy wreath of the same design as those laid by his late mother and grandfather George VI in a touching tribute.
Prince William and Princess Anne also joined him in paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for their country.
Sophie Wessex and Prince Edward, Princess Anne’s husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra also attended the service.
