A FORMER Center Parcs worker has revealed some of the staff perks that visitors don’t know about, as well as some of the down sides.
The resorts are popular destinations for Brits, with five locations catering to families in the UK.
Staff members can have free access for themselves and their friends to the parks[/caption]And while working at the holiday villages can be stressful, it also has plenty of positives.
One of the main pros of working at Center Parcs is having day passes, which provide free access to the facilities on site for staff members.
In addition to their own passes, workers can also bring friends into the sites too, where they can not only make the most of the park, but also get discounts in the restaurants and bars.
Speaking to Bedfordshire Live, the former staff member said their friends would be lining up to enjoy a day out with them.

They said: “Staff at Center Parcs are entitled to ‘day passes’ as a benefit of their role.
“A day pass was an absolute joy to use, free use of all the activities on site and discounted prices at restaurants and bars.
“Staff using day passes could take in friends with them and as soon as your friends knew you had a day pass there was a queue of messages from people trying to ‘shotgun’ their place on the day.”
Another benefit was a chance to do some celeb-spotting, with famous names often choosing the holiday parks over a trip away.
The former worker said staff could never believe it when there was someone staying there instead of going somewhere more glamorous.
They also said everyone who worked at the villages would know exactly where any famous people were staying.
One of the down sides to working at the park is the amount of wasps staff have to deal with.
Anyone who’s afraid of the stinging insects should probably not apply for a job at Center Parcs, with the villages a real hive of wasp activity.
The former staff member said that the pancake house is a particularly bad spot for wasps and that they would often find dozens of them trapped under cups after they’d annoyed families.
