According to the information, 150 festmetres (1 festmetre equals one cubic metre of solid wood) of round wood worth 10,400 EUR were stolen from the state forest in ten months of 2022. Another 126 festmetres of cut and stacked brushwood, worth 3,850 euros, were stolen from state forest.

Haas says that forest rangers are constantly on duty at the clearings, but the number of thefts has not decreased, but has even increased. For example, as Tartu Postimees writes, a 43-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman have recently felled and removed forest from the reserve.
