Prince Harry in Netflix battle as he bids to get his controversial documentary delayed
PRINCE Harry is battling Netflix in a bid to get his controversial documentary screened when his memoir hits shelves.
The Duke of Sussex wants the series delayed until after Christmas — but the streaming giant is keen to air it next month.
The Sun can reveal Harry’s team have been frantically asking Netflix to postpone the production.
It comes after claims Harry and wife Meghan are seeking “extensive cuts” to the show and are “at odds” with producers.
Harry’s memoir Spare was set to be published in tandem with the show.
But publishers have agreed to postpone its release until January 10 after he needed to make last-minute changes.

A source said of the TV series: “Harry simply does not want it coming out before Christmas.”
The Sun understands Netflix initially resisted the couple’s attempts to push the series back. But it is not known if a final decision has been made.
The Sussexes have been followed around by camera teams as part of their £113million TV deal.
Large chunks of the Netflix show were filmed before the death of the Queen.

But cameras were banned from the Windsor estate for her funeral.
Details have been kept under wraps, but Meghan has described the series as a “love story” and a “rom-com”.

THE Queen will be honoured with a special celebration at the Royal Variety Performance next month.
Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gary Barlow will be joined by the London Youth Choir to perform Sing, written to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
Senior royals will attend the show, to be hosted by comedian Lee Mack at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
