CHILLING audio has emerged of a daughter screaming for help after her mum allegedly plunged to her death from their 12th-floor flat which was “welded in” during a new Covid lockdown.
The 29-year-old pleaded with Covid officials to open her door in a clip that’s caused outrage in China.
The woman tries to get to her mother’s body after she allegedly took her own life out of despair over President Xi Jinping‘s brutal lockdown in Hohhot, inner Mongolia.
The region has been under a punitive lockdown since late September when a new Omicron variant was detected there.
Beijing officials are said to have welded shut the gates to the woman’s residential building from the outside to stop people from leaving.
The woman’s mother, known as Mrs Wang, suffered from anxiety and had allegedly been on prescription meds since 2019.

Her daughter told the building’s management that her mum was having a mental breakdown and begged for help.
When she asked the building supervisor to call the emergency helpline, he told her to “call them yourself, I’m busy,” What’s on Weibo reported.
When no one came, Mrs Wang is said to have jumped from her bedroom window on November 4.
A recording of the 29-year-old’s distressed calls for help has gone viral on Weibo, China’s version of WhatsApp.
She can be heard banging on the gate and pleading with officials to unseal her mother’s door and help her.
“Open the gate, open the gate! I’m begging you, please,” the young woman is heard shouting.
When the gates finally open, the woman rushes over to her mother’s body, where first responders meet them.
Authorities have blamed China’s strict Covid lockdown rules for slow emergency response times.
The audio has caused outrage in China with many demanding answers.
“Who has the right to weld building gates shut? Who has the right to weld building gates shut?” one person commented.
“Who has the right to restrict others’ freedom to live? What if there is an earthquake or fire, who is responsible afterwards?”
Officials have vowed to punish community workers who forcibly seal households and building gates – even though it’s said to be a widespread practice.

It is believed two highly contagious subvariant of Omicron – BF.7 and BA.5.1.7 – are responsible for the recent spike in cases.
China officials have described the variants as “highly contagious” as they can also infect people who had been previously immune.
Beijing is taking a no-tolerance approach to the virus – enforcing the new rules after just 20 to 25 new infections a day this week.
Chinese leader Xi Jinping – who was this week made “Emperor for Life” – is continuing to roll out what has been dubbed as the “world’s strictest lockdown“.
Cops wearing hazmat suits and wielding machine guns have been brutally enforcing the rules.
Quarantine camps, food shortages. cops seizing people’s homes, tags on Covid patients, and drones policing the streets have all been seen across China.
China’s draconian response to the virus has raised the spectre of a return to the potential for rising cases around the world as we head into the winter months.
But the West has rolled out much more effective vaccination programs, making countries such as Britain better equipped to deal with any spikes in infections.
