Alimentation Couche Tard Inc. on Monday said it reached its second deal in less than a month with a cannabis company to open more retail dispensaries adjacent to its Circle K stores, in addition to five stores now in operation. Canada's Fire & Flower Inc. will open four stores in Ontario under its Hifyre retail store brand and Spark Perks member program and acquire two cannabis retail stores in Kingston, Ontario. Alimentation Couche Tard owns about 35% of Fire & Flower. Alimentation Couche Tard's North American executive vice president of operations Alex Miller said the company "continues to see promise in the cannabis market and is committed to learning more about the space." Last month, the Circle K convenience store operator inked a deal with Green Thumb Industries Inc. to open Rise Express stores at Circle K locations in Florida.
