The Baseball Federation of Puerto Rico announced a 20-player roster for the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier.
Manager Eddie Gonzalez, a 13-year veteran in the Double-A League, selected the roster among the Puerto Rico Baseball Academies and the Youth Double-A National League.
"We have a very talented group of players, and we travel to Mexico with one goal: qualify for the World Cup and have U-18 Puerto Rico face the best in the world," commented Gonzalez.

PITCHERS (9) Jahir Pérez, Brayan Peña, Byron Madero, Dewinel Vázquez, jan Luis Reyes, Wilfredo Morales, Esteban Torres, John Asencio, José González.
CATCHERS (2) Jandaniel González, Hederick Torres
INFIELDERS (6) Yahil Meléndez, Bryan González, Bryan Rivera, Diego Alfonso, Dicky González, Yahir Fonseca
OUTFIELDERS (3) Víctor Cartagena, Yeriel Pastrana, Jabdriel Reyes
The qualification tournament will open on Friday, 4 November, in La Paz, the capital city of the Mexican State of Baja California Sur. The other host city is Cabo San Lucas. The top four finishers will qualify for the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.
World No. 16 Puerto Rico will compete in Group B and face No. 5 USA, No. 6 Venezuela, No. 12 Canada and No. 44 Peru.
Group A will include the hosts and world No. 4 Mexico, No. 7 Dominican Republic, No. 9 Cuba, No. 13 Panama and No. 15 Nicaragua.
