The mystery behind why a pink supercar has been parked outside of a London hotel for two years may have been solved.
A pink McLaren 570s – worth more than £150,000 – has caused a storm on social media, with some users claiming it hasn’t moved a yard since 2020.
Londoners say it’s been outside of the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel since the beginning of the pandemic with many confused about why it’s still there and whether it’ll ever be moved.
The bright pink car has caused such a stir on social media that one TikToker even created a post theorising why it stayed in the same position.

The video was uploaded by user SoggySpin4ch, who asks: ‘When will this pink car move? This car has been here the whole pandemic.’
The clip got 1.3 million views and more than 78,000 likes with many others commenting to say they’d noticed it the sports car.
One person commented and said: ‘Omg yea! It hasn’t moved and I’ve been walking past here a few times over the last couple of years.’
Another added: ‘Wait… I walked past this like seven months ago… IT’S STILL THERE?’
One more said: ‘I literally live in Oxford and whenever I come to London see this car.’
And another TikToker who claimed to work in the luxurious Renaissance hotel shed some insight.
They commented: ‘I actually work at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, the McLaren is owned by one guest who permanently moved into the hotel near the start of the pandemic because he was having trouble getting back to his country.’
This theory began to gain more traction as another commenter agreed with the alleged employee of the hotel, saying: ‘It’s been there since before 2018 at least, the owner lives in the hotel.
‘They allow him to park it there since it looks good.’
This was then backed up when Metro.co.uk rang the hotel and a member of staff said the car belonged to someone who was renting an apartment above the upscale building.
The staff member said: ‘It belongs to a man who is renting one of the apartments upstairs.
‘He has been living there for a number of years, we’re not sure who he is.
‘Everytime we walk past it I just think what a car, and how lucky he must be to drive it.
‘He does go out in it from time to time.’
However, the woman from the operations room wasn’t able to confirm the ID of the owner, or where they were from.
