AS soon as Halloween is over, the countdown to Christmas is officially on.
The shops are rammed full of selection boxes, presents and decorations to get people in the festive spirit.
Tammy McIntyre loves Christmas and always puts her tree up on November 1[/caption] Tammy does a themed tree every year[/caption] Tammy created a Grinch-inspired tree this year[/caption]But one Christmas fanatic needs absolutely zero encouragement and always decorates her home on November 1.
Tammy McIntyre creates a themed tree every year – and her 2022 effort is a showstopper.
The 25-year-old, from Lanarkshire, spent five hours on her Grinch tree and admitted her “back was breaking” by the end.
But all the hard work proved worth it in the end with people rushing to compliment her efforts.
In a TikTok video (@taammym) showing off her 2022 masterpiece, Tammy said: “This literally took me five hours, five hours. My back is breaking but honestly it was so worth it.
“Every year I go for a new theme and this year’s theme has got to be my favourite so far honestly.”
Tammy picked up all of her decorations from Etsy, eBay and Home Bargains.
She twisted in some ribbons like ‘swirls’ to add extra texture to the tree and cut up others into small squares to slot into gaps between the branches.
She topped up the ribbons with a selection of green and red baubles.
She added: “Honestly, the aim of the game to make your tree look good is just to get lots of different decor.
“Get loads of random things that go with the colour of your theme and it will look brilliant.
“I have spent around £300 on my decorations between last year and this year but it’s so worth it.
“And you can see with the branches I spread them up and down. I don’t spread them flat because it makes them more look like a tree.
“People do it flat and it just doesn’t look like. I used to do it flat and it never looked like, so that’s a wee tip.”
But Tammy said her favourite part of the tree decorations has to be her Grinch legs.
She said: “Look at him. Look at the Grinch. He’s going to look like he’s stealing my tree.
“Absolutely love it, got that from eBay.
“How good does it look? It’s Whoville, Mr Grinch’s tree. “
Speaking to the Scottish Sun Online, Tammy added: “I put my tree up on the 1st November every year.
“I always take it down the day before New Year’s Eve to have a fresh house for the new year.
“So I feel like with it taking 4/5 hours for me to do my tree it would be a waste of time having it up for only a few weeks.
“I love Christmas so much just because it brings everyone together, everyone is always in high spirits at Christmas time it’s lovely.”
Social media users are loving Tammy’s Grinch creation, with her video racking up more than 126,000 views in just 24 hours.
One festive fan said: “This has made me so happy! Love Christmas and glad am no the only one who put their tree up in November. Tree is beautiful.”
A second wrote: “From one Xmas lover to another, your tree is ace.”
Meanwhile a third added: “Aww, you are very creative, I’m going to try out the trick with the branches. That xmas tree looks amazing.”
