Report: Eintracht Frankfurt face potential wing-back headache ahead of Spurs match
Eintracht Frankfurt face a potential selection headache at wing-back ahead of this evening’s Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Right-sided player Ansgar Knauff, who is currently on loan from Borussia Dortmund was rested for Frankfurt’s 3-0 defeat at VfL Bochum at the weekend and had to leave his side’s final training session yesterday ahead of the match (Bild).
Left-back Luca Pellegrini has a shoulder injury (CBS Sports) with BuliNews reporting that the pair have not travelled to London with the rest of Oliver Glasner’s squad.
Kristijan Jakic who did not feature in the second half of the match against VfL Bochum and typically operates as a defensive midfielder could be set to fill the void left by Knauff on the right.
