Soft and small but not flat this morning
Hello Friends,
A light NW breeze was ruffling the surface at Dee Why as of 0800. There were a few people in the water along the beach but evidently the point was too small to attract any hopefuls. The waves looked okay, but not remarkable. Swell at sea was a shade under 1.5 metres and coming from the E-ESE at 10 seconds apart.
It’s set to go NE this afternoon and the Bureau says the easterly component should push up with it.
Outlook for the morning sessions over the next couple of days looks hopeful, particularly on Friday morning…

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea will continue to direct southeast to northeasterly winds along the coast for the next couple of days. Meanwhile, the northeasterly winds will strengthen along the southern half of the coast during the next couple of days as a low pressure trough approaches from the west. The trough will then bring a south to southwesterly change to the coast on Friday.
