While streaking Embry-Riddle and Westcliff are trying to create some separation from the rest of the California Pacific Conference, another team posted back-to-back wins last week to keep its playoff hopes alive. With only five matches remaining, La Sierra topped Saint Katherine and Benedictine Mesa last week to give the Golden Eagles nine points and, even with seven teams in front of them, kept open the door to their postseason ambitions. Unbeaten ERAU, which received votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, has a commanding lead with 24 points, and WU and Simpson have a firm grasp on the next two spots, but the next four teams have only three points separating them—and LSU is lurking just one point behind that pack. The Golden Eagles close out the regular season by hosting Park-Gilbert, then travel to Soka before hosting Cal Maritime, Pacific Union, and Antelope Valley in the final three matches.
