Margot Robbie Weighs In On Lady Gaga Playing Harley Quinn in 'Joker: Folie à Deux'
Just recently, it was revealed that Lady Gaga will be starring in the upcoming Joker: Folie à Deux, as Harley Quinn.
The 36-year-old Oscar winner will star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the musical sequel, which is set to be out in October of 2024.
Following the confirmation of Lady Gaga‘s role, Margot Robbie, who first portrayed the role on screen in Suicide Squad, The Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey, is sharing her thoughts on the singer/actress playing the role.

During a new interview in support of Amsterdam, Margot opened up about Gaga taking on the role in the movie.
“It makes me so happy,” she said, adding that “because I said from the very beginning that all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters the way…like Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor. Someone gets to do their Batman, or someone gets to do their Macbeth.”
Margot added specifically of Gaga, “It’s such an honor to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing. And I think she’ll do something incredible with it.”
Just recently, Margot was seemingly involved in an incident involving paparazzi.
