Doc Martin viewers call out glaring blunder in show’s final series – and all make the same joke

DOC Martin viewers have been calling out the same blunder with the show following the latest episode.

The long-running ITV medical drama aired the fourth episode of its final series last night.

It comes as the show wraps up following 18 series and 10 series.

However, during last night’s instalment viewers were quick to call out a blunder.

They noticed how easy it was for residents – and even visitors – to get an appointment with a GP.

During the programme one woman simply walked into Dr Martin Ellingham’s practice with her baby and was seen to immediately.

This left viewers reeling as in the real world it can take days to get an appointment with a GP – or in some cases a week.

Taking to social media, one viewer said: “A GP who will see you instantly and diagnosis you too immediately and an ambulance in 20 minutes. Can I move to Portwenn please?”

“Bit far fetched. People actually being seen by a GP,” said another fan.

Meanwhile another viewer posted: “The access to a GP (1) in Doc Martin that the locals have is somewhat incredible.”

Speaking previously about the show coming to an end, Martin Clunes said he and the crew broke down in tears.

“On set, we were all in tears towards the end,” he revealed.

“When we started shooting back in February, we were so busy I didn’t have time to dwell on this series being the last. I think I was in a kind of numb denial.”

Doc Martin continues Wednesday nights at 9pm on ITV.
