Coronation Street fans all say the same thing as new character graces the cobbles
CORONATION STREET fans are “already loving” newcomer and solicitor Dee-Dee Bailey.
The new character, played by Channique Sterling-Brown, arrived to save brother James’ football career in Wednesday’s episode.
The Weatherfield football star recently found out he had cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart that can be fatal and which landed him in hospital.
Coming from America, the family are overjoyed by Dee-Dee’s arrival.
Fans were also thrilled and believe Dee-Dee is exactly what the Bailey family needs.
Taking to Twitter, one said: “Yaay great new fun character in the street James sister.”
Another wrote: “Just the breath of fresh air the Bailey family needs.”
A third penned: “Already loving Dee Dee. Brilliant!”
As well as his sister, Dee-Dee is also a solicitor and took it upon herself to support her brother James.

She demanded a meeting and pushed for a better deal for her brother.
Dee-Dee will also reconnect with former homeless man Stu Carpenter and she agrees to take on his case in upcoming scenes.
Revealing what Corrie viewers can expect from the character, the actress told Manchester Evening News: “She’s a bit of me! Dee-Dee’s going to bring a lot of fun, a lot of chaos – but in a good way, hopefully!
“Dee-Dee is organised chaos, is how I describe her. She bursts into any room she’s in, she’s a big personality but she’s really hard-working. She’s a great lawyer, she knows what she’s doing.”
