IT’S the game that everyone wants to win.
But just who is winning the big prizes on offer in McDonald’s Monopoly?
That’s what people are taking to social media to question, with Maddie Kellett responding in a video on TikTok.
“I haven’t actually won but I work at McDonald’s and I’ll give you a little bit of insight into the McDonald’s Monopoly situation,” Maddie said.
“Basically when you peel that little ticket and it’s like ‘Bond Street for a car’ and you collect all three of those, you go into a draw with a bunch of other people who have done the exact same thing.
“Now, if you do end up winning from this draw, you have to have proof of purchase for every single ticket that you bought.”

Maddie continued to explain that “if you bought a large coffee, peeled off the ticket, had Bond Street on it for the car… you have to have that receipt that you had with the coffee to prove that you bought the coffee with the ticket on it”.
“And they’re going to cross check that,” she said.
“They’ll cross check that you made the purchase and that you got the ticket fair and square.”
It’s for that reason that “no-one wins the big prizes”.
“Because who’s going to keep a receipt for a large cappuccino?” she asked.
“No-one.”
Sharing her video on TikTok, Maddie captioned it: “hopefully this explains it a little bit!
“DISCLAIMER: don’t hold me against it, I work at maccas i’m not from head office.
“This is just what I’ve heard from managers and other crew members.”
People took to the comments section to respond to Maddie’s revelation, with one writing: “wow.. they don’t tell you that EVER! thank you for sharing.”

“McDonald’s doesn’t even give receipts in the drive through,” another added.
To which Maddie replied: “I always ask if someone wants a receipt.”
