I’m a size XL & tried the viral $78 Kim Kardashian Skims dress – it made me insecure, I didn’t like it on my tummy
FASHIONISTAS of all shapes and sizes have been rushing to try Kim Kardashian’s viral Skims line.
One of the more popular pieces by Skims is the Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress, which retails for $78.
However, one influencer was not impressed by the fit of the popular dress.
Ella is a fashion and beauty pro who goes by the username @ellabblended on TikTok.
She wanted to show her followers how the viral dress looked on an apple-shaped, size XL body.
“I’ve always avoided any dresses that were super tight on my body,” she prefaced.

“So I bought the famous Skims dress that everyone talks about,” she announced. “They say it looks good on all shapes and sizes.”
She purchased the viral dress in a size XL in the color Onyx.
Before trying it on, Ella expressed some concern about the length of the dress.
“I am 4″11′ so I am super short,” she disclaimed.

Once Ella tried on the dress, her tone shifted from excitement to disappointment.
“I am feeling a little insecure right now,” she said.
She modeled the dress for her viewers, showing a front and side view.
“I don’t know if I like it,” she said. “Because I feel like the whole focus is on my stomach.”
Ella pointed out one redeeming factor she found in the dress.
“One thing I do like about it is that I don’t have to wear a bra,” she added.
The length of the piece also posed an issue for her petite stature.
“The dress, I feel like, is the same height or the same length as me,” she said.

Other influencers who wore the dress previously pointed out the generous length, and mitigated it by bunching up the dress for shorter frames.
Ella ultimately rated the famous dress a 7.5 out of 10.
