Kylian Mbappe emerges as Man United candidate
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
The France international was widely expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer over the summer, but he eventually decided to put pen to paper on a new contract that promises to keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2025.
According to L’Equipe, there is a clause in the contract allowing Mbappe to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
The 23-year-old attacker’s contract is said to be worth £650,000 a week, and he has enjoyed another stellar season with PSG this term, netting nine goals in seven appearances across all competitions.
In total, Mbappe has made 224 appearances for the Parisians since arriving from Monaco, scoring 180 goals and registering 88 assists in the process.
According to Marca, the Red Devils have emerged as candidates for the Frenchman, should he decide to leave the French capital on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
Los Blancos are also believed to be keen to retain their interest in the attacker, who will also be in action for France at the 2022 World Cup.
