BBC ONE’S thriller The Capture has returned for another series, after season one proved to be a big hit.
The second series sees the return of some new and old faces to the cast.
Holliday Grainger has reprised her role of DI Carey for a second series of The Capture.
Holliday was born and raised in Didsbury, Manchester, and her first acting role was at six years old in the BBC comedy drama series All Quiet On The Preston Front.
She then had TV roles in Casualty, Doctors, Dalziel And Pascoe, Where the Heart Is, Waterloo Road and Merlin as her career began to blossom.
Holliday also jumped into film pretty quickly with her first role in 1997’s The Missing Postman.
British actor, Paapa Essiedu, joined the season 2 cast of The Capture as the young ambitious MP, Isaac Turner.
Isaac is personally attacked by an unknown threat during his electoral campaign – using deep fake to alter his interviews, so the public turns against him.
The previous main actor, Callum Turner, left the show after the first season, and Paapa takes his place, but as a new character.
US actor Ron Perlman has reprised his role of Frank Napier.
Despite his appearances in season one where he was able to help Rachel – his character still remains a mystery.
Actor Ron is known for his work with director Guillermo del Toro, having roles in a number of his films, including Cronos, Blade II and Pacific Rim.
His most famous role was as superhero Hellboy in del Toro’s 2000s films.
Actor Cavan Clerkin’s biggest role yet has to be playing Father Pyrlig in The Last Kingdom – a role he has starred in for five years.
Before this, Clerkin has been in Babylon, The Agency, Pulling, Dead Set and Muscle.
However, he is now appearing on our screens in The Capture as DS Patrick Flynn – one of Rachel’s key members in the Homicide squad.
Indira Varma plays Khadija Khan, who is the presenter of Newsnight and a fierce interviewer who doesn’t hold back.
Else where and the actress has an impressive CV.
She has appeared in Game of Thrones, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Amazon Prime Video’s The Legend of Vox Machina, ABC’s For Life, Channel 4’s This Way Up and Prime’s Carnival Row.
Ben Mills is best known for his starring role as Patrick Maitland in Coupling, from 2000 to 2004,
He also won acclaim for playing Peter Townsend in the Netflix drama The Crown.
Ben also starred in the critically acclaimed TV drama The Romanoffs.
