Glenn Hoddle has cliaimed that Antonio Conte can achieve “fantastic success” at Tottenham Hotspur if he stays at the club for three or four years.
Tottenham made a winning start to their Champions League campaign after they overcame Marseille 2-0 at home on Wednesday night whn the Ligue 1 side were reduced to ten men at the start of the season half.
Conte does not have a great track record in the Champions League but Hoddle believes that it is down to the fact that the Italian does not typically remain at the same club for a long period.
Owen Hargreaves agreed with Hoddle’s assessment that while Spurs are unlikely to win the competition, they are going to be a threat to many other teams this season.
Peter Crouch was also in the panel and the former Tottenham striker marvelled at how Conte has transformed the squad since he arrived at the club ten months ago.

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no question that we will be a threat to any team once we enter the knockout stages.
Our counter-attacking approach is actually quite suited to getting results in the later stages of the tournament but given the quality of the other teams in it, it only takes a bad 20-minute spell to be knocked out.
I think aiming to make it to the final eight of the competition is a very realistic target for Spurs this season.
