Good Morning Britain to air on a Saturday for first time as ITV reveal big-name hosts for special show
GOOD Morning Britain is set to air for the first time ever on ITV following the Queen’s death.
It was announced to the world early yesterday afternoon that Queen Elizabeth II had passed away at the age of 96.
She died in the afternoon at her home in Balmoral, Aberdeenshire, as her family rushed to be at her bedside.
Since her death was announced, ITV and other channels moved to rolling news coverage to mark her passing and the subsequent events, which saw her son, the Prince of Wales, become King Charles III.
ITV have now confirmed their TV schedule for Saturday, September 10, as tributes continue to flood in for the late monarch and condolences for her family.
ITV’s Saturday schedule has now been released in full, with the day beginning with an episode of Good Morning Britain.

It will air from 6am to 9.30pm and will be presented by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.
ITV News will then take over with a special programme – ITV News: The Proclamation of the King – as continuous news coverage carries on until 12.30pm.
At 12.30pm, it will segue into the scheduled ITV News bulletin before royal documentaries will be aired.
From 2.15pm to 5pm, ITV will air three specially made documentaries. The first – narrated by Nicola Walker – is called Our Queen, The People’s Stories.
It will feature many lovely stories from people from all walks of life as they reflect on their own meetings with the Queen and open up about how those moments affected their lives going forward.
Following that, Julie Etchingham will narrate a documentary titled The Queen in Her Own Words.
It will contain some of the Queen’s past speeches, letters, broadcasts and personal memoirs, which show both the public and private side of Her Majesty.
The national and local news will air from 5pm to 6pm, whilst the usual entertainment schedule will then resume in different time slots to originally planned.

Ninja Warrior UK: Race for Glory will air at 6pm, followed by The Masked Dancer at 6.50pm.
The Voice UK will then follow suit at 8pm, whilst Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will air in the 9.10pm slot before the news at 10pm.
The news will continue until 10.45pm, before the previously aired documentary, Queen Elizabeth II – The Longest Reign, will be broadcasted.
