Earlier Thursday, a pair of South Florida residents pleaded guilty to stealing the diary of Joe Biden’s youngest daughter, Ashley, and selling it to Project Veritas. Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander admitted to stealing the diary and other items from Ashley, then conspiring to transport them from Florida to Project Veritas’ base in Westchester County, New York.
But it looks like nearly every outlet covering the news of this plea buried the lede. During the hearing at which Harris and Kurlander pleaded guilty, prosecutors from the U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York dropped a bombshell: After stealing the diary, Harris and Kurlander stole other materials from Ashley at Project Veritas’ request. If this is in fact true—and there’s little reason to believe that the Justice Department is making this up—Project Veritas has forfeited the right to exist.
