Report: Tottenham outcast willing to wait until January to leave the club
Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Sergio Reguilon would be willing to wait until the January transfer window to leave Tottenham.
Reguilon has been frozen out of Antonio Conte’s first-team plans but Tottenham have been unable to offload the Spaniard as of yet.
The Atheltic’s David Ornstein reported on Monday that Nottingham Forest had opened talks with Tottenham regarding a loan deal for the Spaniard but Fabrizio Romano subsequently revealed on the Here We Go Podcast that the left-back had turned down the chance to move to the newly promoted club for the time being.
Reguilon is also thought to be attracting interest from Italy, with the likes of Atalanta (Bergamo Corriere) and Juventus (TMW) credited with an interest in the player over recent days.
However, Lazio have been the most heavily linked, with Italian publication Radio Sei claiming on Wednesday that Maurizio Sarri is ‘pressing’ the Serie A club’s hierarchy to snap up the 25-year-old.
Di Marzio has now backed up Lazio’s interest in Reguilon, stating that the club are keen on signing a left-back before the transfer window closes and have identified Reguilon as a target.
However, the journalist explains that the Tottenham man’s wages would prove a stumbling block for the Biancocelesti.
Di Marzio also adds that Reguilon is not in a hurry to leave the North London club and would be willing to wait until January before deciding his future.

One would have thought that Reguilon would be keen to get a transfer in order to get regular game time under his belt and make a late run for the Spain squad for the World Cup. Perhaps, the Spaniard has not been convinced by any of the offers he has received and is waiting for a suitable one from La Liga.
