The best property transformation shows ranked – but did your favourite make the cut?

THE UK’s most favourite property programme has been revealed – with Channel 4 shows dominating the top of the leader board.

The days of tuning into just one property show are long gone as TV channels battle it out to get us to watch their latest idea – but which one’s the best?

Residential property website The Negotiator has released a new study which tells us exactly that.

The media brand surveyed 2,000 adults across the United Kingdom and pulled in rankings from IMDb.

They’ve pulled together a top ten list, with old time favourites making it on the board.

Coming in at number one is Channel 4’s Grand Designs, which is presented by designer Kevin McCloud.

The show sees Kevin guide and follow homeowners who are taking on elaborate architectural homebuilding projects.

First broadcast in 1999, over 200 episodes of the show have been produced and aired over its 23-year run.

In second place is A Place in the Sun, as well as Escape to the Chateau – both Channel 4 programmes.

A Place in the Sun follows house-hunters who are looking to purchase their dream holiday home abroad.

Over the years it’s had many presenters – from Jasmine Harman, Jonnie Irwin to Amanda Lamb.

BBC programmes Homes Under the Hammer and DIY SOS both ranked in third place.

In last place was online streaming giant Netflix with their property show Marriage or Mortgage, which sees a wedding planner and real estate agent battle it out as couples must choose between a fairytale wedding and a dream home.
