Louise Redknapp breaks down in tears ‘ten times a day’ as son moves out
LOUISE Redknapp has revealed her heartache ahead of eldest son Charley leaving home to go to university in America.
The mum-of-two, 47, shares sons Charley, 18, and Beau, 13, with ex Jamie Redknapp, whom she split from in 2017.
Singer Louise admitted she can’t stop sobbing as Charley prepares to start a new chapter Stateside.
She told Metro: “I keep crying. I cry like 10 times a day at the moment, like if someone’s nice to me I start crying like, ‘Sorry it’s just my son’s going to university’.
“Everyone who’s had kids go off to university say, it’s normal. I’m super proud of him but, God, I’m gonna miss him.”
Charley graduated from the prestigious Epsom College earlier this summer and was joined by his parents for a special leavers’ dinner.

Mum Louise, 47, took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of the pair, with Charley looking dapper in a black jacket, matching trousers, a white shirt and purple bow tie.
Meanwhile Louise wowed in a floral mini dress and accessorised with black heels and a matching bag.
She captioned the post: “So proud of my boy and my best friend @charley_redknapp. School leavers dinner tonight. Next stop Uni Xxx.”
Retired footballer Jamie also took to social media to share a selection of pictures from the night.
He wrote: “Epsom college leavers ball. Wow! You guys were on [fire]! I’m so proud of you and the man you’re turning into @charley_redknapp.
“You have made incredible friends for life. Next stop [US]. #beardown. Ps we might have to work on your bow tie game, have a word @_ss1708_.”
Jamie and Louise met back in 1995 and tied the knot three years later.
The former couple split in 2017 after 19 years of marriage following Louise’s stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
Their divorce was then official by 2018.
Jamie started dating model Frida Andersson-Lourie in 2020 and announced that she was pregnant with their first child in May 2021.

Jamie and Frida got married in October that year and announced their new arrival the following month.
It is believed that Louise is currently single.
