West Ham want to add Blackburn star Ben Brereton Diaz to new-look strike-force alongside Gianluca Scamacca
WEST HAM are continuing to weigh up a move for Blackburn’s Ben Brereton Diaz even after sealing a deal for Gianluca Scamacca.
Hammers boss Moyes is close to finally landing a striker after going 18 months with just Michail Antonio leading the line.
The East Londoners have long tracked Chile international Brereton Diaz, 23.
And the club sent scouts to cast an eye over him at Rovers’ pre-season friendly against Lincoln on Saturday.
Moyes is convinced wide players can take the burden off Antonio.
Brereton Diaz could fit the mould given his ability to play up top or from the left.

The £15million-rated forward has a year remaining on his deal at Blackburn — though Leeds and Bournemouth have both registered interest.
It comes after West Ham reportedly agreed a transfer fee for Sassuolo striker Scamacca.
Reports say the Sassuolo CEO has admitted the Hammers have met the asking price.
The story confirms the exclusive Sun report on Saturday which said that a fee had been agreed for the 23-year-old hitman.
