CRISTIANO RONALDO is looking increasingly more likely to STAY at Manchester United than leave this summer.
That’s according to Sky Bet, who also continue to shorten the odds of the Portuguese ace joining Atletico Madrid.
Reports that Ronaldo was ready to QUIT Old Trafford meant bookies were forced to cut the odds of his next destination.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals and provided three assists in 37 appearances last season – finishing as the club’s top scorer.
But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner told officials that he would like to leave if an acceptable offer arrived.
Chelsea were understood to be his most likely destination at that point, but have since ended interest after talks between Thomas Tuchel and co-owner Todd Boehly.
The Portuguese superstar was available at 10/11 to join the Blues, and 7/4 to stay having NOT reported back for pre-season training.
However, Stamford Bridge being his next home is now as big as 16/1 with Sky Bet.
Ronaldo was also omitted from United’s squad for their pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia, citing personal reasons for his absence.
But he’s now offered at 4/6 to see out the next 12 months of his contract at the Theatre of Dreams.
And that could have something to do with manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman has had to do without his star man for pre-season so far but reiterated the club’s stance that Ronaldo is not for sale.
He said: “He’s not with us, it’s due to personal issues.
“We are planning with Cristiano Ronaldo for this season. I’m looking forward to working with him.

“He hasn’t told me he wants to leave. I have read but what I say, Cristiano is not for sale. He is in our plans and we want to have success together.”
Reports last week suggested Ronaldo had sought out a move back to Madrid – only this time with Real’s bitter rivals Atletico!
He scored 311 goals in 292 LaLiga matches between 2009 and 2018 and won the Champions League four times at Los Blancos.
And that made him public enemy No1 with their neighbours Atletico – but now he could be about to sensationally join them as his odds continue to fall.
Following the reports, his price to move there was slashed into 5/1 before quickly dropping to 7/2 to make the move – where he is now 2/1.
It now looks to be between United and Atletico for where Ronaldo will be playing his football next year.
CNN Portugal claim a Saudi club has offered Ronaldo a stunning deal worth £210million but he has since turned down that move.
Bayern Munich are now out to 12/1 after the Germans appeared to end speculation he was heading there, while Ronaldo himself rejected claims he was heading home to Sporting Lisbon – though they are also 12/1.
