Emmerdale shock exit for Suzy Merton after Leyla Cavanagh turns on her
EMMERDALE fans are in shock after Suzy Merton quit the village after Leyla Cavanagh turned on her.
The party planner – who is played by actress Martelle Edinborough in the ITV soap – was exposed tonight for her cocaine use.
And when Jai Sharma discovered it, he assumed she owned the cocaine that had destroyed his relationship with ex Laurel Thomas.
He confronted her about it – with Leyla terrified she would be exposed for the drugs being hers.
But instead Suzy took the blame.
Later she went to the office to return her keys
Leyla, now no longer hiding behind lies told Suzy: “Thank you for not dropping me in it. Why didn’t you?”
“I’m not sure they would’ve believed me, all junkies are liars, remember?” said Suzy.

“You would’ve denied it. You were quite happy to throw me under the bus.
“I tried to help you and be a good friend. The type of friend that you haven’t been to me. I was wasting my time – there’s no helping addicts.
“It’s obvious – you’ve changed. You used to be fun and kind and genuine. Now you’re just self-absorbed and all you can think of is coke.
“You’re getting in deeper and deeper and you’re going to end up just like Holly. I’m glad I won’t be around for that.”
