Phillips has already joined Manchester City for big money and Leeds are in advanced talks to sell Raphinha to Barcelona in the ongoing transfer window.
The Brazilian refused to join Chelsea despite them having a deal in place with Leeds and decided to wait for Barcelona to arrange the funds required to sign him.
Marsch is hopeful that Leeds and Barcelona conclude the deal soon for the sake of the player, whose dream is to play for the Catalan giants.
The Leeds boss said in a press conference: “I’m hopeful for him to get this deal done because I know it’s his dream to play for Barcelona.”
Leeds have already signed six players in Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra, Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Marsch believes the money generated from the sales of Phillips and Raphinha will help Leeds to take the next step in terms of the development of their squad.
“With Kalvin and with Raphinha [leaving] it allows us to take the club on the next steps we need to go in the future.”
Leeds are still looking to bring in a striker from the proceeds of Raphinha’s imminent sale to Barcelona.
