THE widower of murdered PCSO Julia James was targeted by scammers who emptied his bank of the savings she left to him.
Paul James was conned by fraudsters who used a parcel delivery message to get access to his account.
He is now warning others not to fall for the same trick.
Paul, 58, said: “They contacted me and accessed my phone.
“They changed their number to match the bank’s details.
“They have then emptied my bank account.

“They were extremely clever and convincing and had all my information and had also set up a false payment on my account so I was aware to contact the bank about it.
“All I had was money from my beloved Julia James.
“She was taken from me and now this.
“Please be vigilant on your phones and what you respond to.”
Julia, 53, was murdered by loner Callum Wheeler, 22, in Aylesham, Kent, in April last year.
