I found 9 inch fish finger in pack as I made tea for kids – it was as big as my face
A MUM doing tea for the family was flabbergasted to hook out a 9in fish finger.
Stunned Shamima Trice, 25, had already pulled out a few conventional-sized ones from a fresh bag when she clocked the breadcrumbed beast.
Creasing up with laughter, the carer held the frozen freak up so she could take a selfie — and it was the same size as her face.
But she was then faced with a dinner-time dilemma — as both her daughters were desperate to get the gargantuan goujon on their plate.
Shamima said: “I went to put them in the oven and I was just like, ‘Oh my God, look at the size of this fish finger’.
“It was huge, about the size of a TV remote. It was a good nine inches at least. It made me laugh.

“I had to take a picture of course with it next to my head. It was as big as my face.”
She then came up with the perfect compromise when pressured by daughters, Destiny, six, and Ivy-Mae, four.
Shamima, from Bourne, Lincs, said: “The kids were fighting over who got it.
“They were going, ‘Can I have it? Can I have it?’ so I had to cut it in half to make it a normal fish finger.

“I said ‘Sorry to disappoint but you’ve got two large ones now’. All of the rest were normal size.”
Shamima, who had bizarrely been given an enormous cabbage days earlier by a neighbour, dished them up with heart-shaped potatoes and veg.
She had bought the £1.75 XSELL value pack from Heron Foods earlier that day.
Instead of being packed into rows, the fish fingers sit randomly on a bagged tray, which meant there was space for a whopper.
